Who/What is the Congregation?

Our shop has long been nicknamed “The Church of Speed”.  It’s an affectionate way to reference how we feel about motorcycles. There are many things about those of us that ride and love motorcycles that can be compared to having religion.

We like to gather together, discuss and practice a common thing, and sometimes we do our thing by ourselves, much like some people pray.

We look out for others in our “congregation” and treat them like family.

We like to share the joys and triumphs (Especially the Triples!), with our church family.

We have our own standards or codes for our groups, be it your Wera rule Book, Twist of the Wrist II, Peter Egan or Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance.

And we celebrate holidays – Who has a 3 day weekend or a Holiday like Christmas without planning an extra ride or something special under the tree?

We consider all of our riding friends and customers part of the Church family – (Yes, even the guy in the tank top and mohawk on the Vespa – he’s having fun and can be converted).

So how do we incorporate the congregation into the Church of Speed here on the interwebs? We do that through our posts, participation in forums and just in general being part of the riding congregation.  That’s where the congregation can help us here at the Church of Speed.  There simply isn’t anything as good as a parish members testimony to hold up the reputation of the whole church. We hate using stock manufacturers photos in catalog listings, and we prefer feedback from actual customers and pictures showing their bikes and sharing their reviews.  So if you’re interested in a product and the pictures are the same old stock pictures, let us know if you’re interested in doing a review and sharing your install experience and some good pics of the finished product for the catalog. In return, we’ll refund some of your purchase price, or apply it to your next purchase. you can’t buy your way into heaven, but you can make your bike famous and work out a discount or two!
